Vermicelli Upma | Namkeen Sevia

  INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seed
  • ΒΌ tsp asafoetida
  • 1 onion medium sized finely chopped
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tsp red chilli
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup Vermicelli

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida.
  2. Add Onion, Ginger and garlic and fry till Onions become translucent.
  3. Add Tomato and fry till they turn mushy.
  4. Add Turmeric, Red chilli, Garam masala and Salt and mix well.
  5. Add Gobhi, Gajar and Matar and cook for 10 mins on simmer. Stir occasionally.
  6. Add Vermicelli and cook for 10 mins. Don’t stir or else vermicelli might get mushy.
